Keep your engine running cool with the SL1 Custom Oil Cooler with Fan, engineered for maximum thermal efficiency and reliability.

Each cooler features a 100% aluminum bar-and-plate core with billet end caps precision-machined to include -8 ORB inlet/outlet oil fittings and dual 1/8” NPT ports for sensor integration. The fabricated aluminum brackets not only provide strength but also enhance heat dissipation for improved thermal exchange.

All coolers include a 180Β° thermal fan switch for automatic fan control.

  • Torsion-mount coolers include HD T-bolt clamps.

  • Surface-mount coolers include rubber isolator standoffs.

  • Standard -8AN fittings (upgradeable to -10AN upon request).

Option 1: Under Package Tray Mount (IRS Bugs)
Includes Oil Cooler with Fan designed to mount under the package tray on IRS-style Bugs.

Option 2: Torsion Housing Mount (Swing Axle Bugs)
Includes Oil Cooler with Fan designed to mount on the torsion housing.
Torsion housing mount works only on swing axle Bugs.

Both options include -8 ORB fittings and a 180Β° thermostat.

Small Torsion Cooler

  • Core Size: 6” x 7” x 2-1/4”

  • Fan: 5-1/4” diameter, 340 CFM airflow

  • Fits all early swing axle cars, and with custom brackets can also fit Buses and 356 Speedsters.

Large Cooler

  • Core Size: 7” x 9” x 1-1/4”

  • Fan: 6” diameter, 400 CFM airflow

  • Fits most swing axle setups (some may require minor grinding for clearance).

  • Surface-mount version fits neatly under the package tray or under a Bus (no belly pans).
